Arequipa: The slang. Everyone is so proud to be a ‘Characato’ and always make sure to tell me, “this word is only used in Arequipa”. Plus I’m a big fan of Melgar.
Peru: The street food. At any given moment I can buy anticuchos, salteñas, empanadas, or a hamburger for no more than S/. 5. Peru has got flavor.
